I agree! The versions in the 90s were a bit too long for my liking!Taydem Said,

I can see clearly, A face in the sky, Moon`s in your eye, You`re passing me by. Tell me the reason why. Saw you riding on a moon cloud, Saw you walking on a whirlpool, From the corner of my eye, I saw you. Saw you sitting on a sunbeam, In the middle of my daydream, Oh my Lady Fantasy, I love you.HESTIA Said,

Listen very carefully, my words are about to unfold Concerning a lady I`ve seen but I never could hold I can see by your smile, Take a long while, The words that come through, I see that they`re true, For she reminds me of you. Don`t misunderstand me, it`s not always easy to say The words in your head and your heart that you just can`t explainNekane Said,

Thanks a lot. So he pretends they're not gonna play it, but finally, they do play it. Sorry to be so annoying but what does he mean by "sort of longer time"?Auriar Said,

thanks for the response the 70s seem to have been a great time for music I've been working my way through most of the bands you mentioned and I'm honestly yet to be disapointed I just wish at least a few of them had survived the 80s a little more intact thoughUSHAS Said,

Good question. How do you measure it? Number of albums sold, attendance at concerts? I was a fan of theirs in the 1970's after getting Snow Goose and Rain Dances. But there was loads of marvellous competition to enjoy also: Genesis, Supertramp, Pink Floyd, Yes, Caravan, King Crimson, Santana etc. We were spoiled for choice, so Camel's great music was diluted. Needless to say, "pop" enthusiasts (~80% of the population) had never heard of them. Then came punk - arrgghhh!AYA Said,

I prefer this version to the album version. IMO here the band is much tighter, the solos are better and I enjoy the more modern sound. Regardless of which version you prefer, Camel rock!
